UPCOMING AND PAST EVENTS
Stay tuned – we are in the process of planning events for the year 2024. In the mean time you are welcome to visit our Facebook page where we post about our upcoming events.
NOVO NORDISK – Investment | Engineering & Sourcing
This event was hosted by the Investment | Engineering & Sourcing team at Novo Nordisk who gave us an insight into how it is working as an engineer in their department which supports and consults huge investment and engineering projects in Novo.
It was an excellent opportunity for participants to challenge themselves and apply their innovative ideas to a real-life case presented by the department. It was a chance for the participants to experience and showcase how their diverse backgrounds could be applied to solve new problems, and some of the groups got the opportunity to present their case solutions.
We were thrilled to see all the participants being so engaged in the casework, and we hope that the evening was both informative and inspiring. Finally, we would like to express our appreciation to the IES team at Novo Nordisk for organizing such an excellent event.
ACCENTURE – WORKING WITH ROBOTICS
This event was created to give an insight into how Accenture are working with Robotics and for our participants to learn about how Robotics Process Automation (RPA) fits into the greater AI spectrum and redefining the execution of backend business processes. The presenter e.g. talked about that RPA uses virtual robots to automate digital tasks that are rules-based, standardized, structured and repetitive in a secure, consistent, reliable and scalable manner. With average processing speed increased 3 to 9x and the ability to work 24/7/365. After the event we all went for dinner together and enjoyed the rest of the evening.
NNE PHARMAPLAN – AUTOMATION
This event was created to learn about what a process automation engineer at NNE Pharmaplan does. Participant joined in on a workshop, where they were taught the basics of automation engineering as well as hands-on exercises to decide if a job within that field would be the right fit for them in the future. The event also focused on that as a chemical engineer you are able to work within automation. The event ended with sandwiches and networking.
PROKURA – MBTI AND INFLUENCING TACTICS
In your career and personal life, you will often be in a situation where you need to influence another person. MBTI is a personality test that explores the psychological preferences of individuals within four different dimensions. Different MBTI profiles will react to different forms of influencing tactics. If you are aware of which influencing tactics to use, you can maximize the chance of a successful outcome. At this event, Prokura provided the participants with the opportunity to explore their own profiles and give them insights to the different influencing tactics and how to best utilize them.
IBM – DESIGN THINKING
This event was a workshop that focused on IBM Design Thinking as a powerful approach to
innovation and brand differentiation. It is focused on creating better customer experience. IBM Design Thinking starts by bringing together a series of traditional design techniques, such as personas, empathy maps, as-is scenarios, design ideation, to-be scenarios, wireframe sketches, hypothesis-driven design, and minimum viable product (MVP) definition. After the event there was time for networking and food.
BOSTON CONSULTING GROUP (BCG) – EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION
In this event BCG shared their insights on best-practice communication. Female engineers at BCG shared their experiences on management consulting and provided information about BCGs own Top Talent Female Network. The event gave the participants a great opportunity to interact and learn from each other. The event ended with dinner and networking.
NOVO NORDISK – GRADUATE PROGRAMS
In this event two previous DTU students shared their experience on how it is to start on a graduate program right after graduation and how it is to work in Novo Nordisk. There was plenty of time to network with Novo Nordisk.
HYPATIA – YEARLY SPEED MENTORING EVENT
Every year Hypatia is inviting inspiring females in different industries to mentor the participants for an evening. As a participant you generally get to meet 3-4 mentors for a 15-minute one-to-one conversation. Get inspired, get advice and counselling regarding your studies, career, studying or working abroad, etc. The conversation topic is fully up to the participant. The event ends with food, drinks and networking with all the mentors, other members and Hypatia board members.
In 2019 the mentors were from PA Consulting, LM Wind Power, Ørsted, Novo Nordisk, DTU
Management, ARC (Amager resource center), NIRAS, Mærsk Line, Cool Sorption and Rambøll..
HYPATIA SOCIAL EVENT – GOKARTING
Hypatia always ensures to focus on planning minimum one social event per year. The social events are can be anything as long as it is something we all can participate in together. In 2018 we went on Go karting to compete with each other in a fun environment. The day ended with dinner together.
